Will my walking plan be effective enough?

Hi, Is it okay to go for a brisk walk six days a week? Brisk meaning 4 miles in a hour, some uphill some flat (we are talking Wales). I am aiming to lose 2 lbs a week, on exercising days I aim to eat 1200 - 1400 calories on my non exercising day 1200 calories. Thank you for your advice, I look forward to it.................

That sounds an effective plan, just make sure on the non-exercising day you ensure a lesser calorie intake and that you try and get your heart rate as high as you can during your walks.....make the most of those up hills!

Monitor your progress each week and if you find you aren’t making your target then try slightly longer walks. In the long term, try to consider incorporating different exercise options to maintain motivation and to keep shocking the body into burning more calories through variety.
