I've been on the Atkins Diet since January last year and lost 5 stone however, I came off it in November for a holiday and managed to put on a stone which I haven't yet fully lost. I switched to Nutracheck to try and get a bit more variety in my diet and increase the amount of fruit and vegetables I am allowed. I was wondering though, should I expect to see further weight gain as my body adjusts to this new diet and if so, how long do you think it will take for the weight to start coming off?
Much of the weigh you regain after coming off the Atkins diet is water. But that happens very quickly and is over in a few days, so, no, I don?t think you should see any further weight gain unless you are still drastically cutting carbs and then move to more of them at some point in the future.
Even if you are having slightly more calories now than when you were on the Atkins diet, you should still lose weight, but just slightly slower than before.
It?s good you are eating more fruits and veg - these are an essential part of any healthy diet and useful to your weight control too.
