What shall I do as I have severe arthritis?

Hi, I have severe arthritis in both knee's and my left ankle, I do try to walk but if I do too much I end up suffering for the next few days in pain. Can u suggest something I could do daily that won't cause me too much stress? I am also very over weight obese!!

Hi,

Activities that take the stress off your knee and ankle joints should be achievable without too much discomfort, so swimming or walking in water are worth considering. Also using an exercise bike or even a cross trainer machine may be ok as they are non-impact so consider these as possible options as well.

In addition, you could do non-weight bearing toning exercises that support the development of lean muscle tissue as well as burn calories as weight loss will obviously be beneficial to reducing knee and ankle stress also.
