Hi, I workout to the beachbody dvds slimin6 and hip hop abs, do you have any idea of the calories burned from doing these dvds? Thanks
'Hip Hop Abs' features four different workouts:
- two calisthenics designed to tone muscles of the abdomen
- one cardio session
- one total body calisthenics session to build lean muscle
The sessions vary from 13-45 minutes in length. It will depend on which session (or combination of sessions) you do as to how many calories are expended. If you do half an hour of the DVD, you can expect to burn around 225 calories. If you do all four sessions your calorie burn will be around 900 calories.
'Slim in 6' features three different workouts of varying intensity and duration:
- Start It Up (30mins)
- Ramp It Up (50mins)
- Burn It Up (60mins)
The workouts are centred around cardio kickboxing, aerobics, resistance training and power yoga and you can expect to burn around 450 calories per hour. Consider how vigorously you follow the DVD and at which difficulty level you choose, this will have an effect on the amount of calories burned.
