What calories for Davina's 'Buff Body' DVD?

Hello! Davina has a new DVD out called Buff and it's just arrived on my doorstep! Off to try it out in a mo but do you think the calories burnt for the DVD will be on here soon? Thanks, Holly

Hi Holly,

The approximate calorie figure for an hour of Davina’s new DVD is 378 calories (as long as it includes the Buff cardio or Buff boxing workouts). If the workout doesn’t involve either of the more intense sections then the figure will be closer to 322 calories per hour.  Hope you enjoy the DVD which has the following components on offer:

- Buff Cardio – High energy aerobics with lots of fat-burning intervals plus 5 minutes squeezing those abs.

- Buff Boxing which provides a high intensity workout including 5 minutes working those abs again.

- Buff Legs and Core which is more specific to body parts and gives a twenty minute workout aimed at shaping up your legs and strengthening your core muscles.

- Buff Arms which specifically targets the arms with a fifteen minute routine using weights to buff up your arms, you can use a bottle of water in each hand, but I would recommend that you invest in some 1 or 2 kilogramme weights, which will last you for life.

- Buff Abs – This starts with a basic 5 minute abs routine followed by a tougher 5 minutes for the more adventurous!

- Buff Stretch – An effective stretch to cool down, with the option of doing the shorter standing up version or you can add on a further 5 minutes with a yoga-style stretch too.
