What's the best Chinese to eat on my night out?

I am going out for a Chinese on Saturday night and I was wondering what the healthiest/low fat/calorie option is. I usually go for a spicy chicken dish with boiled rice but was wondering whether the sauce would be calorific.

I am on 1406 cals per day and I try and split these between three meals, if I can, allowing for fruit in between meals.

Firstly I hope you enjoy the Chinese! The boiled rice and spicy chicken option sounds okay, but try to only eat half the rice. Chinese sauces are usually not too bad as long as they aren't the really sweet type (lemon, or sweet and sour). Best choices are things like sizzling beef or prawns with ginger and spring onion, chicken satay (but easy on the peanut sauce) and chicken or beef in black bean sauce. Chinese dishes tend to be quite salty, so don?t be panicked if next morning you weigh heavier due to water retention. This will disappear!

Even if you eat well you?re unlikely to get away with fewer than 800 calories though, so a little bit of cutting back on your other meal is probably helpful!
