Hi, can you please advise if this juice has any nutritional value at all? It says how good it is for you but I just wondered as it doesn't show anything towards my 5 a day when added to my diary. If I have a glass of orange juice it shows a good percentage. As the classic has added sugar, I would probably buy the lite one next if it is good for me, but the normal one was on offer last week. Thanks.
This juice contains 25 per cent cranberry juice, which means you’d need 4 times more of it (600ml) than a serving of pure juice to count as a fruit portion. Obviously 600ml is a lot and would bump up your calories and be a very inefficient way – from a weight loss perspective - of getting one of your daily five a day. This isn’t so much the case if you were to have the Lite version but it’s still not a good idea to overdo fruit drinks which contain acid as they can harm your teeth even if they aren’t sugar loaded. That said, a couple of glasses of a cranberry juice drink with 25 per cent cranberry can lower our risk of recurrent cystitis research has shown.
