Calorie counter confusion

Hi, I do about an hour a day on my steppers and according to its calorie counter, I burn up about 1,400 calories. In the exercise diary, Nutracheck states that using a Stair Step Machine would burn 760 calories in an hour. Which one is more likely to be correct? Either one is a lot of calories, but I only lost 1.5lbs this week and 1.5lbs the previous one. I've been keeping within by calories target. Should I try a different type of exercise, because I haven't lost my 2lbs target in weeks.
