Should I be eating the calories I burn in exercise?


I am a very active guy - I play 4 days a week and go the gym every other evening. I usually burn between 800-1000 cals per day, however my weigh has plateaued. I generally stick to my daily limit with the exception of the odd day here and there. Should I be eating the calories I burn or should I still stay within my recommended daily limit?...

Unfortunately plateaux are somewhat par for the course when we are losing weight - the main thing is to keep on going and not give up, as things will usually pick up again soon. Using up 800-1000 calories a day in exercise is going to get things moving again sooner rather than later, as you are burning 300-500 more that we suggest as an ideal. If you can manage not to eat these exctra calories and stick to the allowance we have given you, without feeling hungry, so much the better.. Good luck!
