How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

I have lost 6st 10lbs94lbs42.6kg since starting with Nutracheck on the 8th January 2023.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

I have yo-yo dieted for more than twenty years. I had reached an all-time high with my weight and one morning I just thought enough was enough.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I just woke up one day and made the decision. I searched for a weight-loss app and came across Nutracheck. I haven’t looked back since.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

I have always been overweight and struggled with my weight. However, in the last 5-10 years it kept creeping higher.

Have you experienced any health improvements?

Since losing weight, my mental health has improved significantly! I also have fibromyalgia which has improved and the flare-ups are less frequent than usual. I still remain in pain 24/7 but with less weight to carry around on a daily basis, it has made a big improvement overall.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

It was relatively easy to adjust my lifestyle - it took a bit of work in the beginning but now it's a normal part of my day-to-day.

What was the most difficult thing about your weight-loss journey?

The most difficult part was recognising myself in the mirror. Sometimes I will look at photos taken recently and I don't see a notable change. Body dysmorphia is a real thing that I've experienced. It’s becoming less and less of an issue now but there are days where I will catch myself in the mirror and still see the old me.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I feel sexy and confident. I have mental clarity about my life. Also, I'm incredibly proud of myself and what I have achieved!

Any notable milestones to report?

I'm lighter now than I was when I was twenty! The last time I fitted into size 14 clothes was when I was eighteen or nineteen! Every stone loss is a massive milestone for me and I haven't reached my target weight yet. I still don’t know what that is but when I feel comfortable with my size, I will maintain that weight.

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. To be honest with yourself. If you are not mentally prepared for the journey or you are dreading eating healthily, then you are setting yourself up to fail. Firstly ensure you are mentally ready to make the changes needed in order to succeed.
  2. Consistency is key. Even if your weight loss stalls, it will start to move again. I have experienced four plateaus and I kept going. The scales did move again!
  3. Eat what you love! Make swaps to healthy options but don't deprive yourself of the food you love! I've had takeaways and eaten meals out and I still lost weight. Just make sure you track everything. When the scales jump after you have a meal out, don't panic that you've gained fat - you've just gained water. The scales will level back out after a couple of days.
