Your start weight, current weight and how much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

My start weight was 19st 2lbs268lbs121.5kg back in March of 2021. So, it's taken me 4 years to get to my goal weight of 10 stone. I'm now 9st 13lbs139lbs63kg.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

My weight loss journey started when I had a health scare at 24 years old and was offered a gastric sleeve. This terrified me, and I thought oh my god, I'm that big? I've just been offered this surgery on the NHS.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I started looking into calorie counting and came across Nutracheck, and I’ve used it ever since.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

I was always a big girl, ever since I was a kid. I've struggled with binge eating disorder and bulimia in the past, but changing my lifestyle has helped both of these, and I haven't struggled with my eating in a very long time now.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

It was a huge change to start with, but I got the hang of it quickly.

What was the most difficult thing about your weight-loss journey?

The hardest thing at first was just being really aware of what I was eating, and telling myself no.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I feel amazing now, and I can do anything I want. Next month I'm doing a skydive to raise money for charity! I'm also having surgery to remove the loose skin on my belly and arms a few days after the skydive.

Any notable milestones to report?

I now go to the gym 5/6 days a week, I run, I take dance classes, and I can cross my legs comfortably! The list of how many things have changed since I've lost weight is so long!

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Stay consistent. It really is key to getting results and don't give up after a rubbish day. Keep on pushing!
  2. The journey is longggggg but it's worth it, you don't only change physically, but the way you think about your body and food will change for the better.
  3. Don't be so hard on yourself, you can do anything you put your mind to, if you want something bad enough, you will achieve it. Be your own biggest supporter!
