How to manage your salt intake

Too much salt can lead to high blood pressure which in turn can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and strokes. You should aim for no more than 6g of salt per day – which is 2.4g of sodium. Always check the label carefully as some packaging just highlights one or the other!
