How to add a home cooked meal

Cooking from scratch?

Open the App and tap 'My Meals' to quickly check the calorie and nutrient content of your recipe.

Select the meal occasion, add your recipe name and number of servings.

To help you, the App suggests ingredients other members have used in similar recipes.

Select and add – then adjust the weights if necessary by tapping the food then 'edit'.

Use the barcode scanner or search bar to add any more ingredients – when you're done – press 'Save'.

Choose an image for your meal – pick from our photos, or use a montage of your ingredients or upload your own picture. Then save it. It's really easy to add a serving to your Diary – just go to a recipe and tap a meal occasion.

Here are 3 more features in My Meals you might find helpful:

  1. Go into a meal occasion – if you've got a lot of recipes, you might prefer to view them as a list.
  2. Sort by newest, A to Z or lowest calories.
  3. And check out our sample meals. These are the most popular recipes members have created. You can edit the ingredients and personalise it to your version to save you creating it from scratch.

One last tip! If you've already added your lunch or dinner to your diary just group them together and save as a meal. Tap a food then select all the items in your meal. Tap 'Create Meal', then name it and save it for next time!
