Am I doing enough exercise or too much?

Hi there, I am doing a fitness DVD every single day of the week at the moment, alternating different styles, for example I have all the Davina dvd's so alternate strength training, core and aerobics, and then I have the ministry of sound dancing dvds, and I also go to a yoga class on weds. Is this enough exercise? Or should I be having a rest day? I train around 1hr a day.

 Thanks very much!

Hi Holly,

As you are doing a great job of varying your workouts in terms of muscles groups, type of exercise and intensity, (i.e. a lower intensity workout with emphasis on flexibility with yoga on Wednesdays), it may not be necessary for you to have a ‘rest’ day unless you feel you need it. The best thing to do is just listen to your body and if you feel excessively tired or sore on a given day then consider a ‘rest’ day. Otherwise keep up the impressive schedule as it will optimally support your weight loss goals as well as targeting fitness and health.

Hope this helps,

Kelly
