Q.

What are the best swiss ball exercise DVD's?

I have a swiss ball and am bored of the basic dvd (it only lasts for 10 minutes) that came with it so would like to know what dvd would be the best one out there? There are so many it is a bit daunting. Thank you in advance

Hi,

you are so right because the massive range of DVD's avaliable can make it harder rather than easier to find a workout to suit you! Here are a couple to give you more of an insight and perhaps help you figure out the kind of DVD to go with.

1) Roll off the pounds - Aerobic Gymball Workout (2005) with Lucy Knight - retailing at around £12 on the internet this DVD takes you through a warm up, a full aerobic routine, a fat burning circuit, tummy toning and a stretch. The routines are fun with diverse exercises and quite funky music to work to. It is aerobic-based so you should bear that in mind as to whether that is the kind of workout you want.

2) Gunnar Peterson?s ? Core Secrets - this one of many in a large series that he has done and one I rated as a relatively good choice to other people. It retails for between £10-15 (depending on which DVD) on the internet but can be obtained cheaper if you shop around. It is focused around training your core, sculpting muscle and shifting body fat and is structured so individuals can work for longer without fatigue and maintain an elevated heart rate for more of the workout. Gunnar has a professional presence but this DVD is less aerobic than the previous DVD.

My suggestion would be to look at as many reviews as you can or see if you know anyone who could lend you one of their DVD's, assuming they have different! The two DVD's I have mentioned may be suitable options for you as they seem to work for most people and get constantly positive reviews.

I would also suggest consider buying exercise DVD's second hand on the internet from the well-known selling websites, as with a less-damaging pay out, its less of a risk and less of a worry if you buy one you subsequenty decide you don't like!

I hope this helps, happy swiss ball training!

Kelly
