Is my body saying no more dieting?!

I've been on diets for the last 18 years but for the last few have found it really hard. I can lose the first few pounds albeit slowly and then I seem to hit a plateau which loses my motivation. I'm trying to up my exercise and try to go for a regular half an hour walk each evening once I get home from work but I am still staying the same. Do you think my body will start losing weight again or is it saying no to anymore dieting. Please help me to stick to it.!!!!

If you are expending more calories then you take in then sooner or later you will continue to lose weight - that's an irrefutable fact it's worth holding on to when things get tough! And though dieting can get a bit tougher with time, there?s no truth in the old myth that yo-yo dieting damages your metabolism permanently. However, if you've frequently crash dieted and severely restricted your calorie intake without exercising, it's likely you'll have less muscle now compared with the very first time you dieted, and it's this you need to do something about.

The walking you are doing now will be helping slightly in this regard, but you?d also benefit from some resistance or ?strength? exercise such as weight lifting, crunches or similar which increase the amount of muscle in your body and it's metabolic rate,

Stick at it and you will start to succeed - your body won't have given up even if you have!
